


Located in Fuzhou, Fujian, a certain industrial gas company is a large-scale production enterprise that integrates bulk gas production, special gas research and development, customization, and comprehensive gas supply. In order to actively respond to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction and eliminate high-energy consumption equipment, the company invited Kaiquan energy-saving engineers to conduct a comprehensive inspection and optimization of its water pump system.
Solution
Through on-site investigation by Kaiquan engineers and various verification methods and tools, it was found that the energy consumption of the company's water pump system remains high, mainly due to the following reasons:
1. The original pump design head is too high, and the actual operating point of the pump deviates from the high-efficiency zone;
2. The original pump design has low efficiency, with only a high efficiency point and no high efficiency zone, which cannot be changed;
3. The use of outdated motors results in low efficiency and further increases in energy consumption;
4. The resistance of the outlet valve is too high, and a portion of the energy consumption of the motor is used to overcome the valve resistance;
5. During the operation of the water pump, there is cavitation phenomenon, which further reduces the efficiency of the water pump operation.
In response to these issues, Kaiquan engineers have tailored a set of efficient and energy-saving solutions for customers based on site conditions and production process requirements. The old pump 132KW motor and water pump have been replaced with Kaiquan 110KW efficient and energy-saving double suction pump, equipped with a new secondary energy efficiency motor. The operating mode before and after the renovation remains unchanged, and two pumps are still running in parallel and simultaneously.
In addition, in the final energy-saving report of the pump system, the operating status, efficiency, and energy consumption of the customer's original pump system were clearly displayed, as well as the energy-saving rate of the system after replacing the old pump with the Kaiquan Smart flow width high-efficiency double suction pump.
Energy saving achievements
The high-efficiency zone of Kaiquan wide and efficient double suction pump is 12% -20% wider than that of ordinary water pump. Even if the water consumption changes due to seasonal changes, the pump can still operate in the low-energy consumption range.
According to relevant technical personnel, after the new pump is put into use, the operating efficiency is greatly improved, the cavitation phenomenon of the water pump is eliminated, the unit runs smoothly, and the vibration and temperature values are better than the standard values. The energy-saving rate of the renovated cooling water circulation system has reached 39%, saving about 400000 to 500000 yuan in electricity bills annually, with a return on investment period of only 4 months.
